Lets keep shoulder pain simple as a concept for the purpose of this page. I have a lot of experience working with some of the more difficult and unusual cases. This allows me to make a few simple assumptions about the background features of shoulder pain. Age is the primary consideration. If you are young (age 10 - 35) and your shoulder pain has developed due the the work or sports demands your involved in then your pain should be a soft tissue over-load issue. There maybe a level of inflammation and mild soft tissue damage to the tendons, ligaments, and cartilage structures. The primary goal of rehab will be to re-balance the shoulder musculature so you can return to your activities. If you stay focused and trust the process there should be a level of response within a matter of weeks and by 3 months you should be a lot happier.
